Boston College junior Kristin Mewis is one of four nominees for New England Soccer News women’s college player of the year, and a regional nominee for the Soccer News Net Women’s College Boot, recognizing the national player of the year.

Mewis (Hanson, Mass./Whitman-Hanson/Scorpion SC) was the Eagles’ leading scorer with eight goals and six assists for 22 points. The junior also led the team in shots (81) and multiple point games (three). The preseason Hermann Trophy Watch List honoree had a goal or assist in ten games this season. She currently has 72 career points, enough for seventh place in the BC program history. She was named first team All-ACC, and was the Soccersavings.com/New England Soccer News College Player of the Week once this season, for the week of September 4.

Fan voting for the Soccer News Net College Boot and New England Soccer News college player of the year awards is open through December 23.
