UNC's Martin Murphy is Men's player of the week

North Carolina senior forward Martin Murphy is the Soccer News Net Men's College Player of the Week for the week ending September 2.

Murphy scored game-winners in both of the Tar Heels’ victories over the weekend.

The Cary, N.C., native scored the deciding goal in a 1-0 win over West Virginia on Aug. 31, one-timing a volley off a cross into the net for the game's only goal

He then converted the game-winning penalty kick to break the 1-1 draw and help lift the Tar Heels over Boston University, 2-1 on Sept. 2.
