Dartmouth's Brush is player of the week
Dartmouth senior Emma Brush has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week.
Dartmouth opened its week with a 3-1 win over Maine and then finished its week with its second ranked opponent in four games, falling to No. 21 Rutgers, 2-1. Brush (Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.) scored three of her team’s four goals on the week, including two against Maine and the Big Green’s lone score against the Scarlet Knights.
Brush’s two scores against the Black Bears marked her first career multi-goal game as well as her first career gamewinner. The senior now leads the team in points (six) and goals (three). She received her first career Ivy League weekly award and the first weekly honor for a Dartmouth player since Kim Rose shared Rookie of the Week honors on Oct. 26, 2009. Brush is the first Big Green to earn Player of the Week since Laurel Peak received the award on Oct. 20, 2008.
