CCSU tops Harvard to advance
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –Yan Klukowski scored the winning goal with just over six minutes remaining and Central Connecticut State survived a late flurry of shots by the 15th-ranked Harvard men’s soccer team to defeat the Crimson, 3-2, in the first round of the NCAA Championship Saturday afternoon at Ohiri Field.

For the second consecutive season, Harvard will host an NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer tournament first-round game. The match is scheduled for Saturday Nov. 24 at noon on Ohiri Field against Central Connecticut State.

Central Connecticut (8-8-3) will travel to Harvard (12-3-2), one of 16 institutions that will host a first round game for the 2007 NCAA Men’s Soccer College Cup. The Blue Devils will face the Crimson at 1 p.m. on Ohiri Field in Cambridge, MA on Saturday, Nov. 24.

Penn women take 1-0 decision
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Jessica Fuccello scored her 11th goal of the season to lead the Penn Quakers to a1-0 win over the Harvard Crimson Saturday on Ohiri Field. Fuccello redirected a shot from teammate Jess Rothenheber in the 15th minute to score the decisive goal.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Matt Hoff put together a multi-point game and ensured that his 15th-ranked Crimson left Ohiri Field with a victory on his senior day. Hoff and fellow senior and co-captain Adam Hahn helped lead Harvard to a 2-1 victory over Penn Saturday.

Harvard routs Columbia 5-1
New York – A week after being held scoreless for the first time this season, the 15th-ranked Crimson rebounded and put together a five-goal performance to defeat Columbia, 5-1, Saturday. Four different players scored for Harvard (10-3-2, 3-2) as it moves above the .500 mark in league play. Columbia drops to 3-11-1 and remains winless in Ivy League play (0-5).
