Liverpool comes back to tie Toronto

TORONTO---Toronto FC held their own, playing to a 1-1 draw against Liverpool FC in front of 33087
In a World Football Challenge match at Rogers Center Saturday night.

Quincy Amarwika gave the Reds the lead in the 58th minute poking in a rebound after a long shot by Sergio Camargo forced a diving save by Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi.

The lead was short lived, however, as Liverpool tied it up in the 69th minute. Adam Morgan slammed in a ball across the box by Raheem Sterling that appeared destined for the far post anyway.

ASTON VILLA 1, CHICAGO FIRE 0
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. - Aston Villa FC outplayed the Chicago Fire Saturday night, but managed only a 1-0 win on a steamy night at Toyota Park.

The visitors took the lead in the 29th minute. Chris Herd sent the ball into the box. Gabriel Agbonlahor jumped up and headed it just inside the right post for a 1-0 advantage.

Homer Glen, Ill. native Brad Guzan entered the match in the 79th minute. Guzan, who recently signed a three-year extension with Aston Villa, helped keep Shay Given's clean sheet intact.

Aston Villa holds on to its perfect 2-0 record during its U.S. tour, after posting a 1-0 win over Philadelphia Union on Wednesday. They complete their tour on Tuesday at the Portland Timbers.
