SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Big players shine in the biggest of moments. For the San Antonio Scorpions it may have been the smallest player on the pitch standing tall.

Rafael Castillo scored a wonder goal to put the Scorpions in front to help lift them to their first North American Soccer League championship in a 2-1 win over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in front of 7.847 at Toyota Field Saturday night.

Two unlikely teams will face off in Saturday's Soccer Bowl when the Fort Lauderdale Strikers face the San Antonio Scorpions in the Texas city. Both teams made late surges to get to where they are. The Scorpions winning the fall championship and then knocking off the defending champion New York Cosmos, and the Strikers upsetting Minnesota United, which captured the spring championship, and finished with the best overall record.
