USL plans new league
ROCHESTER, NY---The United Soccer Leagues is going to take a crack at indoor soccer. The league announced on Wednesday that the Rochester Lancers will be the first franchise in the new I-League. The league, which plans to start operations in the fall of 2011, expects to announce franchises in Syracuse, NY, and Hampton Roads, Va.

USL-1 adds Caribbean team
TAMPA, FL – Barracuda FC of Antigua and Barbuda will join the USL First Division for the 2011 season, subject to the approval of both the Antigua & Barbuda Football Association and United States Soccer Federation, as well as CONCACAF and FIFA.
