GOING INDOORS
USL plans new league
ROCHESTER, NY---The United Soccer Leagues is going to take a crack at indoor soccer. The league announced on Wednesday that the Rochester Lancers will be the first franchise in the new I-League. The league, which plans to start operations in the fall of 2011, expects to announce franchises in Syracuse, NY, and Hampton Roads, Va.

MANCHESTER, NH – The New Hampshire Phantoms finalized their roster with seven new signings including five players from the Boston University Terriers—Michael Bustamente, Diego Garcia, Nick Prunier, Brandon Briggs and Max White. Playmaker Alex Neto, the Brazilian native who played for Club Operario in his native country, will also join the Phantoms for the 2010 season. Rounding off the roster for the 2010 season will be two former Phantoms players. Joey Barima and Almir “Z” Barbosa.
