Hydra FC to make 2012 debut
TAMPA, Fla. – Worcester Hydra FC will join the United Soccer League's Premier Development League for the 2012 season. The club, based in Worcester, Massachusetts, will play its home games at the state-of-the-art Foley Stadium in downtown Worcester.

USL merges pro leagues into one
TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer Leagues has announced plans to merge its First and Second Divisions into a single league property for 2011 - USL PRO. The announcement comes after a more than year long bitter battle between the ownership of the league and a number of team owners, that ultimately saw a split from USL and the planned development of the North American Soccer League.

GOING INDOORS
USL plans new league
ROCHESTER, NY---The United Soccer Leagues is going to take a crack at indoor soccer. The league announced on Wednesday that the Rochester Lancers will be the first franchise in the new I-League. The league, which plans to start operations in the fall of 2011, expects to announce franchises in Syracuse, NY, and Hampton Roads, Va.
