SHE’S GOT THE BEAT
Ex-BU player signs with Atlanta

KENNESAW, GA - Former Boston University midfielder Marisha Schumacher-Hodge has signed with the Atlanta Beat of Women’s Professional Soccer as a free agent.

Schumacher-Hodge attended preseason with the Boston Breakers last year and played for the WPSL’s Boston Aztec, earned America East Midfielder of the Year and was named to both the America East All-Conference First Team and the NSCAA All-Northeast Region Team in her senior season.

“We first saw Marisha at our open try-out in November and were immediately impressed with her,” said Beat head coach Gareth O’Sullivan. “She impressed again at our invitation-only, try-out in December and also performed very well in the Swedish First Division last year. As a player, she is a very technical and rarely loses possession. She has good vision of the field an eye for a pass.”
