New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis has been named the New England Soccer News Player of the Week for the week ending March 20.

Reis made seven saves, while facing 13 shots in the Revolutionís 1-1 tie against the Los Angeles Galaxy at the Home Depot Center on Sunday night.

Reisís performance included pushing a David Beckham free kick over the cross bar with one hand and covering
Looking to go far post, Beckham forced Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis to parry the shot just of the crossbar with his right hand.

Reis came up big again in the 14th minute, when Juninho curled a cross into the area for Donovan, who went up for a header that Reis covered up. Reis only gave up one goal in the game, but also benefited from having three LA goals called back, one for a foul and two for offside.
