A look at the upcoming game

Toronto FC (1-10-2, 5 pts) @ Montreal Impact (5-8-3, 18 pts), 7:30 pm ET, TSN
Fresh off yet another crushing result, Toronto FC will take on a beefed-up Montreal Impact Wednesday night at Saputo Stadium. New Designated Player Marco Di Vaio, a former Italian national team forward, is scheduled to debut for the Impact against the most porous backline in MLS the Reds have surrendered 28 goals in just 13 games. Di Vaio became eligible just in time for the injury-wracked Impact, who learned last week that their other Italian attacking linchpin, Bernardo Corradi, will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. The Reds were within seconds of giving new coach Paul Mariner his first win last Saturday, but gave up a stoppage-time goal to slip into a 2-2 draw with the visiting New England Revolution. Between MLS play and the Canadian Championships, these two teams have already seen enough of each other this season to have developed a healthy, and sometimes prickly, rivalry. The Impact won the only MLS encounter between the teams, 2-1 at BMO Field, and have been formidable on their new home ground, scoring eight goals in their first two games there.
