THEY'RE ON TRACK
USMNT will make first stop in Chattanooga in February

The U.S. will play its final preparation match before 2018 World Cup qualifying resumes against Jamaica at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3 (FS1 and UniMas, UDN) on an artificial turf field in Chattanooga, Tenn., U.S. Soccer announced Tuesday.

This will be the first visit to Chattanooga for the U.S. menís team and a 20,000 capacity crowd is expected at Finley Stadium. The stadium was sold out for the U.S. womenís teamís 7-2 win over Costa Rica in 2015.

The U.S., which opens January Camp at the National Training Center in Carson, Calif., next Tuesday, will resume Hexagonal qualifying against Honduras March 24.

"It's important that fans across the country have an opportunity to see the National Team, and we are always looking for places that have shown great support for the sport,Ē U.S. coach Bruce Arena said. "From what we have seen, everything that's happened in Chattanooga is remarkable. We're looking forward to a fantastic atmosphere."

The U.S.,13-2-8 against Jamaica in a series dating to 1988, will meet the Reggae Boyz at home in a friendly for the first time since 2006, when Ben Olsen scored and Tony Meola made his 100th international appearance in a 1-1 draw in the teamís final match before Arena named the roster for the World Cup in Germany. The U.S. will meet Serbia in San Diego Jan. 29 in Arenaís first game since replacing Jurgen Klinsmann as coach.

Finley Stadium played host to the New York Cosmosí 2-0 win over FC Chattanooga before an 18,277 crowd in the 2015 NPSL championship game, a record attendance for an amateur game in the U.S.
