Two more players have bitten the dust for the United States' World Cup qualifier at Antigua & Barbuda on Friday.

Defender Edgar Castillo has been ruled out of the Antigua and Guatemala matches with a foot injury, while Fabian Johnson won't play on Friday because he is recovering from the flu.

Added to injuries to midfielder-forward Landon Donovan and midfielder Brek Shea, the U.S. will bring 20 players to the Caribbean country for the CONCACAF Group A encounter at Vivian Richards Cricket Ground (beIn, 7 p.m. ET). Teams are allowed a roster of 23 players.

Johnson will join the team in Kansas City, Kansas, to prepare for the final semifinal round qualifying match against Guatemala on Oct. 16.

“Obviously it’s a difficult situation losing Fabian for the Antigua game and Edgar being unavailable for both. We were in a similar situation for the first match against Antigua & Barbuda in June, and we will be prepared,” U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann said in a statement. “Fabian has been ill since the weekend, and we were waiting to see if he would be healthy enough to join us in Miami. At this point, it is in everyone’s best interest to allow him to fully recover from his illness and come into Kansas City ready to play against Guatemala.”

There was no word as to whether the team will call in replacements for the Guatemala match.

The U.S. will fly into Antigua on Thursday.

The revised U.S. roster for Antigua:

GOALKEEPERS (3) : Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tim Howard (Everton), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake)

DEFENDERS (6) : Carlos Bocanegra (Racing Santander), Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover), Maurice Edu (Stoke City), Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Michael Parkhurst (Nordsjaelland)

MIDFIELDERS (7) : Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Michael Bradley (Roma), Joe Corona (Club Tijuana), Jermaine Jones (Schalke 04), Sacha Kljestan (Anderlecht), Danny Williams (Hoffenheim), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)

FORWARDS (4) : Clint Dempsey (Tottenham Hotspur), Herculez Gomez (Santos), Alan Gordon (San Jose Earthquakes), Eddie Johnson (Seattle Sounders)
