ON THE SIDELINES AGAIN
Injured Boxx won't play vs. North Korea
MANCHESTER -- U.S. midfielder Shannon Boxx, who injured her right quad in the 4-2 win over France in the Olympic opener, will sit out her second consecutive match and will not play against North Korea in the Group G finale on Wednesday.
"We will not take any risks," coach Pia Sundhage said. "Hopefully, she will be available for the quarterfinal. But she is not going to play the game against North Korea."
Boxx suffered the injury in the first half of the France game and was replaced by Carli Lloyd, who has scored in both U.S. matches.
