South Central Premier falls short

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. – Only two New England team advances as far as the US Youth Soccer Region I Championships, but U12 Boys South Central Premier 03/04's (CT) rematch with Cedar Stars Academy (NJ) had the same end result as group play and Cedar Stars repeated their victory with a 2-0 win over South Central.

EDP Plans U20 and U23 Open Cups

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - New Jersey-based EDP announced today that it will be working hand-in-hand with the United States Adult Soccer Association to expand its EDP Open Cup to U20 and U23 men's and women's teams across the nation including an additional open-age division for women.

FRISCO, Texas -- The US Youth Soccer National League has determined qualification parameters for the league’s expansion in the 2016-17 season, when the U-16, U-17 and U-18 age groups double from 16 to 32 teams.


NEW U20 LEAGUE PLANNED
EDP Super League targets national footprint

EAST BRUNSWICK NJ --A new Under 20 league that hopes to achieve a national footprint is being formed by EDP. Several clubs have already been invited to join the EDP Super Club U20 League, which will begin an open application process within the next week.

As part of the resolution of a lawsuit against U.S. Soccer and a number of its youth soccer affiliates, the Federation has issued new safety guidelines and will implement a new player safety campaign in the coming months.
